The manners or social conduct of refusal is an invaluable part of Japanese culture that youngsters can learn by observing anime. The present research aimed to elaborate on how Japanese anime might provide insights for youngsters to learn polite refusal strategies. This research relied heavily on dialogue transcripts from the anime Kaguya-Sama: Love is War as the data source. The methods for collecting data in this research included simple and complex recording, participant observation, and active engagement. Data analysis was done through thorough observation and auto-expert judgments. The research findings showed that there were two types of refusal speech-act strategies: direct speech acts and indirect speech acts. The direct speech-act politeness strategies employed direct non-performative verbs within refusal speech acts, while the indirect speech-act politeness strategies consisted of refusal speech acts through presenting reasons, refusal speech acts with a statement of principles, refusal speech acts with a statement of apology, and refusal speech acts with a way of evasion.

This study aims to reveal the utilization of the form of metaphorical meaning in learning interactions at IAIN Palopo. This descriptive qualitative research uses data sources in the form of utterances/interactions in learning that produce data in words and phrases containing the meaning of metaphorical forms obtained through recording instruments. Before analyzing the data, it was first categorized depending on the data features required by the study object. Then, data were analyzed using description, interpretation, and explanation techniques. The results showed that the form of metaphoric language features used in the discourse of learning interactions contained euphemistic meanings, censorship, experiential values, relational values, and expressive values. Each form of metaphorical meaning that is expressed forms the idea of character shape in the form of (1) perseverance/loyalty, (2) generosity/wisdom, (3) caring, (4) inappropriateness, (5) completeness, (6) complexity/ difficulty, (7) reinforcement/motivation, and (8) identity. Thus, metaphors are a representation and formulation of educational, ethical values that are produced in learning interactions.

To express their thoughts in Russian, students should have language resources in their active vocabulary, the consolidation of which in memory is advisable based on the skills of their native language. The most important role in teaching students a non-native language is played by transfer, which is one of the central categories of psychology. Russian and Chinese mentalities have different, sometimes opposite features, which make it difficult for Chinese students to learn Russian. The phenomenon of transfer occurs and exists during language contact regardless of the will and desire of bilinguals. As a result of the transfer phenomenon, interference and its cause are that certain areas in the linguistic picture of the world are preserved, to which the proverb and phraseology belong. The authors believe that proverbs should be attributed to the category of fixed expressions of the language and studied from the standpoint of general, particular, and comparative phraseology.
