This paper aims to identify and describe the semantic and ethnocultural content of substantive derivatives extracted from the corresponding word-formation nests of the Russian and Tatar languages. The characteristics of the ways of lexicalization of related processes and features are essential for both lexical typology and ethnolinguistics. In the derivation-semantic space of auditory perception verbs, lexical units that have a peculiar semantic content are identified. These are first of all names of persons, specific objects, and abstract concepts, which their internal form and lexical meaning determine ethnocultural specificity. Comparison of derived substances that are directly or indirectly related to the process of auditory perception reveals certain conceptual areas and national-cultural meanings that form the language picture of the world and the mentality of each of the ethnic groups. It is proved that the ethnocultural component in the semantic structure of the studied words is also revealed within the same language: when comparing the diachronically marked and modern vocabulary.

The article presents the results of the research of Tatar cosmonyms with regard to their origins. It is believed that the lexis of any language is heterogeneous in terms of origins and consists of both aboriginal and borrowed words. The language of the modern Tatars traces its roots to the ancient Turkic language, which was influenced by the Indo-European languages. The research revealed that all those lexical layers are reflected in the cosmonyms of the Tatar language. The smallest group is represented by ancient Turko-Tatar cosmonyms. The next group comprises cosmonyms, borrowed from Arabic. One more group is made up of cosmonyms borrowed from Russian and earlier derived from Latin and Greek. In the 20th century, many Russian cosmonyms (astrotoponyms, for the most part) were translated into Tatar. Lexemes of the first group are used in everyday speech. Meanwhile, Arabic and Latin names of celestial bodies are employed only in scientific and literary Tatar.

This article deals with a comparative analysis of phraseological and paroemiological units with the component coloronym black / Schwarz, черный, кара in German, Russian, and Tatar. We have analyzed 85 phraseological units and paroemias in German, 50 in Russian, and 99 in Tatar, extracted by a continuous selection from etymological, lexical, and phraseological dictionaries. The paper exposes similarities and differences in the perception of the coloronyms black / Schwarz, черный, кара by representatives of different cultures. As a result of the analysis, we have found eight symbolic meanings of the coloronyms, which coincide in all three languages. The explication of the meanings ‘bad, evil, insidious, malicious, dishonest, untruthful’ is of high frequency in German, Russian, and Tatar. The second and third places are occupied by symbolic meanings ‘unhappy, unsuccessful, sad; heavy, difficult’ and ‘shameful’, respectively. In the linguistic world-image, the three symbolic meanings of the coloronym Schwarz are lacunar for the German language.

Welfare is a social category and is rooted in the cultural and social structures of society. Therefore, the improvement of welfare policies requires knowledge of these structures and cultural and social conditions. It should be noted that the culture in the cultural discourse of welfare is no longer limited to mental and spiritual values and meanings. It is integrated into all varieties of individual and collective life activity as a natural socio-psychological formation, and manifests itself as a functional unit of social and psychosocial development of the world, and influences current social behavior. Based on the data of the all-Russian sociological survey, the social well-being of the population is diagnosed. The characteristics of social well-being were determined based on a subjective assessment of living conditions. The subjective assessment contains a cognitive (rational) aspect and an affective (emotional) one. In the affective aspect of the subjective assessment, there are more negative emotions in women and people of pre-retirement age.

The present study tried to offer a methodology to analyze Arabic language grammatical elements in the Tatar language poetry of the 19th century. It defined adaptation mechanisms of the borrowed grammatical elements within grammatical aspects and presents Arabism absorption peculiarities at the grammatical level. A set of existing basic research methods was effectively used in terms of the issue under study: descriptive method, comparative-historical methods, partial and continuous sampling techniques, unit systematization by denotative classes, as well as component, contextual, and etymological analyses. The examination proved that Arabic and Persian conjunctions were mainly applied for stylistic purposes in the 19th-century poetry, which allowed poets to avoid numerous repetitions of the same form. It has been established that conjunctions in poetic texts were employed in not only meanings and functions typical for Arabic and Persian languages, but they were also transferred into other parts of speech; in other words, the phenomenon of conversion is observed.
